BD Barcelona
The year is 1972, the location - Barcelona. A group of young rebellious architects form BD; a design house with a mission to break moulds, even commercial ones. Armed with the designs and ethos of Ettore Sottsass, Antoni Gaudi, and Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the ambitious Pep Bonet, Lluis Clotet, and Mireira Riera created a movement, which to this day creates some of the most unusual and dynamic products on the market.
Vibrant & Contemporary Designs
The brave use of irregular forms and vibrant colours is primarily influenced by Gaudi and Sotsass, although contemporary design stars, such as Ross Lovegrove make sure BD keep their hand firmly on the pulse.
